The VPM-SC is a Video Processing Module to take in up to four HD-SDI inputs, provide three custom HD-SDI outputs and powers a servo-motor. The VPM-SC will feature four Power-over-SDI cameras as well as non-powered sources. This mode can be configured. The SMPTE 292M as well as 424M video standards, also known as HD-SDI and 3G-SDI, are supported. An active video signal on the input is automatically detected and processed according to the pre-configuration/mode. This “SC” model also drives an attached servo-motor, addressed by ARINC commands. This processing can include: multicast of one input to outputs, scaling, rotation, pan/zoom within a stream or combination of multiple video inputs, e.g. combination of Channel 1 and rotated/cropped Channel 2 provided on Output 2. Static and dynamic overly can be added to the individual outputs, e.g. showing moving targets or symbols/text as provided thru the ARINC 429 command interface. Predefined ARINC labels will prompt the VPM-SC to change the configured outputs or to e.g. pan/zoom thru a selected video etc or change the position of a connected swivel-mount drive. The unit is powered by standard 28Vdc aircraft supply. A MIL-STD 38999 connector carries both: Power and ARINC429. All video interfaces are realized as HD-BNC connections.
